What is

Global Studies?

The Global Studies diploma program is focused on creating engaged, active global citizens and honing a variety of skills which include:
​

  • Thinking critically

  • Applying systems thinking

  • Demonstrating civic and community engagement

  • Engaging in deeper dialogue

  • Constructing multicultural competence


​The program has a large itinerary of events to attend, with students being required to attend nine throughout the year.

Throughout the year we will explore nine different global themes:

  • The arts

  • The environment

  • Globalization

  • Global public health

  • Human rights

  • Non-violence and war

  • Religion

  • Sustainability

  • Technology and Communication
